The CentOS Ecosystem

Abstract

The CentOS Project is evolving. From the origins of focusing on and only on the core CentOS Linux distribution, we are expanding scope to include and facilitate adoption of layers on top, and under the Linux distribution. From clouds to containers, from storage to networks - lots of things going on in the CentOS ecosystem. In this talk I will cover the main highlights of what this implies and the opportunities it creates for further collaboration with other projects and user stories.

Biography

Karanbir Singh has been using and working with Linux for just under 20 years. After the early years being spent on development, he's Linux experience has been focused on things from a user perspective, mostly in the operations areas. He's been involved with the CentOS project for 10 years now, the last year of which has been as chair of the CentOS Board.
